Job summary

WeaveGrid is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to independently design, implement, and deploy software with partner device manufacturers and utilities. You will help set the technical direction and raise engineering quality across the platform, from device API integrations to battery status, scheduling, and signals from utility sources.

In this role, you will design robust code, own your service area, and collaborate with Product Managers to deliver scalable DERMS features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering experience delivering backend systems.
• Proficient in Go or Python and building cloud-based microservices.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams and with product managers.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high quality backend code for robustness, testability, and maintainability.
• Own API integrations with device manufacturers and utilities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to deliver scalable DERMS features.
• Improve system reliability, data quality, and scalability.
• Perform rollouts, instrumentation, alerting, and reliability monitoring in the cloud.
• Coordinate with multiple teams and contribute to technical debt reduction.
