Job summary

Erinion, part of the Scania Group, is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to build and evolve Erinion Connect, our cloud-native Charging Management System for smart charging and energy management in commercial transport. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics and AI teams to design scalable backend services and integrations.

We value engineers who can make independent architectural decisions, drive technical direction, and contribute across the stack as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js (TypeScript).
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems and integration patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and cloud storage solutions.
• Experience building REST APIs, microservices and event-driven systems.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions independently.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in day-to-day development.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve backend services and APIs to support Erinion Connect (CMS) for charging and energy management.
• Design scalable integrations and event-driven architectures across platforms.
• Develop solutions for smart charging, energy management, and fleet platforms.
• Integrate ErinionConnect with TMS, FMS, ERP and telematics systems.
• Contribute to platform architecture and long-term product evolution.
• Support React-based frontend development where needed.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.
