Job summary

Quanata, LLC is seeking an Application Security Engineer to enhance security in their AI-native insurance technology platform. This remote role involves collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Security teams to embed security practices throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in application security, with a focus on secure development practices, and will play a crucial part in developing resilient applications.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years focused on application security.
• Experience partnering directly with software development teams to improve application security.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms and modern application architectures.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to integrate security into application design and development.
• Conduct secure code reviews, application security assessments, and vulnerability analysis.
• Promote secure coding practices through training, coaching, and awareness initiatives.

Skills

Experience in application security

Knowledge of secure-by-design principles

Familiarity with OWASP Top 10

Proficiency in programming languages

Education

Associate's degree or equivalent experience

Bachelor's degree preferred
