Job summary

CrowdStrike in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to lead auth backend services from prototype to production at scale. You’ll own end-to-end designs, mentor others, and collaborate across product teams to improve performance and reliability.

Hybrid work 2–3 days on-site; you’ll work with Go, Python, AWS, Kafka, and GraphQL to build a high-scale event-driven microservices platform supporting Falcon Platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years backend development experience in production with Go/Java/Scala/Node.js/Python/C#.NET.
• Experience with AuthN and AuthZ and Fine-Grained Auth rules.
• Recent work on high-scale event-driven microservices (5M+ events/day).
• Ability to scale backend systems via sharding and horizontal scaling.
• CS degree or equivalent knowledge in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend engineering from prototypes to large-scale apps across CrowdStrike products.
• Build cloud-based systems to detect threats and automate intel production at global scale.
• Collaborate across teams to define and implement solutions.
• Mentor other developers and raise team technical IQ.
• Improve architecture, performance, and reliability continuously.
• Own deliverables with a self-starting, responsible attitude.
