Job summary

Sameday is seeking a visionary Senior Backend Engineer to lead the architecture and development of our AI-driven scheduling agents. You will design scalable backend systems, oversee data pipelines, and ensure real-time responsiveness in a distributed, cloud-based environment.

You will own RESTful API design, integration patterns, and performance optimizations while collaborating closely with the CEO/founder to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience, with strong Python skills.
• Proven track record in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architectures (AWS).
• Solid SQL, ORM knowledge; MongoDB experience; vector databases a plus.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and securing services.
• Ability to drive architecture from concept to implementation autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Backend development leadership and architecture oversight.
• Design scalable backend systems to support AI-driven scheduling agents.
• Build data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature pipelines for AI models.
