Job summary

Air Apps in San Francisco is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain server-side components powering our AI-driven Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner. You will collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and data teams to deliver robust, scalable services that support rapid growth.

You will implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, design data models, optimize performance, and uphold security and testing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in backend languages (Java, Go, Python, Ruby).
• Experience with frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Express.js).
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases; distributed systems and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Design schemas and optimize queries for reliable storage and retrieval.
• Build scalable backend systems for millions of users and fast growth.
• Implement security, authentication, authorization, and data privacy best practices.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and incident response to ensure high availability.
