Cresta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend with a strong focus on building scalable backend services and APIs for our AI-driven platform. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver context-aware, reliable systems that power customer engagements at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating backend systems, distributed systems, or cloud-native infrastructure in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Go and Python.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch for large-scale datasets.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms.
• Experience troubleshooting and optimizing system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and distributed systems powering our AI-driven products.
• Collaborate with frontend, ML, data science, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end experiences.
• Own reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems, proactively resolving issues.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, reviews, testing, and CI efforts to ensure excellence.
• Design secure, resilient, and highly available services for enterprise customers.
• Evolve system architecture to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and ops efficiency.
• Drive technical decisions and contribute to engineering culture through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
