Job summary

Affim is building an AI Platform to design, run, and govern AI workloads at scale, with gateways, runtimes, and evaluators powering production workloads for thousands of users.

You will own backend decisions, design scalable services, and collaborate with security and product teams to establish safe, reusable components. A strong foundation in distributed systems and AI tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes).
• Practical experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI frameworks in production.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to plan, design and ship features.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and own technical decisions and projects within the AI Platform team, from design through launch and on-call.
• Design and build the gateway, runtime, and evaluation services that scale AI workloads for millions of users.
• Implement identity, quota, routing, caching, and failover controls for AI models and tools.
• Partner with security, infra, and product teams to set guardrails for agent workloads and identity models.
• Create and monitor metrics; own the operational health, runbooks, and on-call for your systems.
• Set and improve code review and design standards and advocate for them across the organization.
• Use AI tools and agentic workflows to amplify your work and drive productivity.
• Educate and mentor engineers, promoting best practices in design, coding, and testing.
