Job summary

Close is seeking a seasoned, architecturally minded engineer to redesign the core CRM data model and advance AI-native features. You will rework how leads, contacts, opportunities, and custom objects relate, while shipping fast, scalable data access and search paths used by agents.

The role spans migrations, rearchitecture, and multiple teams as work evolves. You’ll touch Python, Flask/FastAPI, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS tooling, contributing to a high-velocity,

Qualifications

• Seasoned engineer with Python backbone and cross-language experience.
• Architecturally minded with systems design and migration planning.
• Strong data modeling, relationships, normalization and query design.
• Experience with search systems such as Elasticsearch or Lucene.
• Experience shipping AI-native features and reasoning about AI in workflows.

Responsibilities

• Rearchitect the core CRM data model for leads, contacts, opportunities, and custom objects.
• Build tools and endpoints to expose the CRM data and actions for agents.
• Ship AI-native CRM features and AI-powered data cleaning and search enhancements.
• Keep hot paths fast and scalable for high-velocity sales workflows.
