Job summary

Close is seeking a seasoned engineer to help redesign its CRM data model and migration path. You’ll rework leads, contacts, opportunities, and custom objects for a more flexible, scalable representation.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled features and robust search capabilities across large datasets. You’ll collaborate across teams, ship incremental improvements, and maintain fast response times for day‑to‑day CRM tasks like finding leads or updating deals.

Qualifications

• Architect migrations and data-model rearchitecture across a CRM.
• Experience shipping AI-native features and reasoning about AI in workflows.
• Strong design for scalable search with Elasticsearch or Lucene basics.
• Comfort working across Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript in production.

Responsibilities

• Rearchitect the core CRM data model and rework entity relationships.
• Make Close genuinely usable by agents with MCP-backed foundations.
• Ship AI-native CRM features, including agentic enrichment and AI search.
• Keep hot paths fast: lead, update a deal, and run bulk actions at scale.
