Job summary

Close is seeking a seasoned software engineer to help rearchitect its core CRM data model and build AI-native features. You will shape how leads, contacts, opportunities, and custom objects relate, enabling flexible customer representations while ensuring fast, scalable search and data access.

You will work across teams to deliver migrations and new capabilities that improve agent workflows and overall CRM performance.

Qualifications

• Experience designing systems and migrations that minimize downtime.
• Strong background in data modeling and schema design.
• Proficiency with search systems (Elasticsearch or similar).
• Experience shipping AI-native features in production.

Responsibilities

• Rearchitect the core CRM data model to support flexible customer data structures.
• Make Close usable by agents through robust MCP foundations and search capabilities.
• Ship AI-native CRM features including AI-assisted data handling and search enhancements.
• Keep hot paths fast: low latency for leads, deals, and pipelines.
