Subsplash is hiring a Remote Software Development Engineer III (Backend + AI) to join our Product and Engineering Team. This senior role focuses on building scalable backend systems with security and reliability at the forefront, leveraging Go, AWS, and AI-driven tooling.

You will collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers to deliver robust services, review code, and mentor teammates while contributing to on-call rotations and architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time programming experience in a team environment.
• Experience making architectural decisions for new or expanded systems.
• Server-side web tech experience: Unix/Linux, Go, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Strong security practices with web and client-side code.
• Hands-on AWS or similar hosting provider experience.
• Ability to mentor others and review work effectively.
• Excellent communication and ability to navigate ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and managers to build scalable backend systems.
• Review peers' work and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in on-call rotation and ensure uptime and reliability.
• Mentor teammates and influence technical design decisions.
