Job summary

Unity is seeking an experienced senior backend developer for the Offerwall team. You will design and build features, refactor systems, and own critical components responsible for processing tens of billions of events per hour while respecting privacy settings.

You will work with Go or Java, Kafka, Docker/Kubernetes, and AI-assisted development tools to ensure reliable, scalable services. Collaboration with product managers and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on backend development in Golang or Java.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed web services at scale.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka or similar).
• Experience producing and analysing web service event audit trails.
• Use of AI-assisted development tools while upholding code quality, security and reliability.
• Clear written and verbal communication, collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new product features and refactor existing ones.
• Build and maintain resilient backend services handling very large-scale events.
• Own a key part of a large system and deepen domain knowledge with team support.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
