Barclays in Whippany, New Jersey is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – AVP to design and deliver Java-based services, cloud-ready microservices, and backend capabilities that support Markets Sales workflows.

You will partner with product, architecture, UI, DevOps, and global teams to drive secure, scalable solutions in a greenfield transformation, leveraging event-driven patterns and modern deployment practices.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in Java 21+ and Spring Boot for backend systems.
• Experience delivering scalable microservices and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of event-driven patterns and Kafka messaging.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, and code quality practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
