Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Senior Production Support Engineer - AVP to ensure the smooth operation of production systems within our Whippany, NJ office. You will apply software engineering principles to reduce toil, drive stabilization projects, and support business continuity while collaborating with Build the Bank and stakeholders.

You will monitor and maintain critical technology infrastructure, resolve complex issues, and lead a team in operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Extensive technical expertise in SQL, databases, Unix and Windows in investment banking.
• Strong ITIL knowledge and experience with CM tools.
• Experience with Autosys, middleware, MQ, Solace; monitoring with AppDynamics.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex production issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hardware/software; monitor systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain knowledge base of resolved cases and enable self-service where possible.
• Analyze logs and user reports to identify root causes and implement fixes or changes.
• Develop and tune monitoring, automation, and capacity management to improve stability.
