Citi is seeking a skilled Java Developer at AVP level to design, build, and maintain backend applications powering financial systems at global scale. Based in Irving, TX, you will join a collaborative tech team with autonomy and technical ownership.

You will work with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-ready services, delivering high-quality software while supporting enterprise systems and security requirements. This hybrid role offers growth and impact in a global bank.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with Spring ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOA patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile software delivery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot components and backend services.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices within a service-oriented architecture.
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests using JUnit/Mockito.
• Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks and apply fixes.
