Job summary
CVS Health is seeking a Backend Capability Product Specialist to own the backend platform, API ecosystem, and third‑party integration layer of our SaaS product suite. You will bridge engineering, business strategy, and market intelligence to enable scalable, interoperable systems powering internal capabilities and partner integrations.
You will lead API governance, drive DX, and collaborate with architects to align with healthcare interoperability standards while building ROI‑driven business
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience.
- 4+ years focused on backend systems, APIs, or platform products.
- Proven track record delivering SaaS platform features at scale, ideally in a B2B/enterprise context.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design, webhooks, async messaging, and modern integration patterns.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for backend systems, APIs, and data platform capabilities.
- Define API design standards, versioning strategies, and developer experience (DX) principles.
- Drive vision for a scalable, event-driven microservices architecture with engineering leads.
- Establish and govern API governance frameworks including authentication, rate limiting, and SLA commitments.
