Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Backend Capability Product Specialist to own the API ecosystem, data platform capabilities, and third‑party integrations for our SaaS product suite. You will work at the intersection of engineering, business strategy, and market intelligence to build scalable, interoperable systems powering internal and partner integrations.

You will define API standards, drive a scalable microservices architecture, and govern authentication, rate limiting, and SLAs while collaborating

Qualifications

7+ years of product management experience with a focus on backend/cloud platforms.
Experience delivering SaaS platform features at scale in B2B/enterprise contexts.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and modern integration patterns.
Hands-on with API management platforms (Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Kong, MuleSoft).
Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, testable specs and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

Own the product roadmap for backend systems, APIs, and data platform capabilities.
Define API design standards, versioning strategies, and DX principles.
Drive a scalable event‑driven microservices architecture in collaboration with engineering.
Govern API frameworks including authentication, rate limiting, and SLA commitments.
Lead strategy for third‑party integrations and marketplace ecosystem development.
Build ROI‑based business cases tied to revenue, retention, or efficiency.
Serve as the API product evangelist with engineering teams and stakeholders.
