Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a senior product communications leader in San Francisco to own the B2B product story across major launches and platforms. You will translate technical capabilities into business value and build a durable editorial program grounded in customer proof.

This hands-on role spans strategic positioning to launch materials, media pitches, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Research, Marketing, and Sales. Reporting to Head of Business Communications.

Qualifications

• Deep experience communicating complex enterprise technology in terms of business needs and outcomes.
• Proven track record of leading significant launches and building durable market narratives.

Responsibilities

• Set the positioning for OpenAI’s business products, linking capabilities to customer needs and evidence.
• Lead business storytelling for priority launches across Codex, ChatGPT Work, API and developer capabilities.
• Build a sustained editorial program between launches using customer stories, explainers, and executive perspectives.
• Turn complex product developments into clear, accurate stories for buyers, builders, and assessors.
• Build relationships with reporters and voices shaping enterprise tech decisions for broader coverage.
• Drive launch execution from early messaging to spokesperson prep and media outreach.
• Advise senior partners on business stories and coordinate cross-functional review under tight timelines.
