Job summary

Orion Systems Integrators, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, build, and optimize Azure SQL/SQL Server databases for a cloud-native application on Azure. You will own database design, tuning, and CI/CD deployments with PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.

Ideal candidates bring deep SQL expertise, strong data modeling skills, and hands-on experience with .NET/C# backend integration in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent role.
• Advanced expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Hands-on PowerShell for deployment and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Experience with .NET / C# backend integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases for enterprise apps.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes.
• Ensure performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity.
• Partner with developers to support backend and full-stack features.
• Implement and manage deployments with PowerShell and release pipelines.
• Support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Perform schema versioning, migrations, partitioning, and release coordination.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning and RCA.
• Enforce database security and access controls.
