Job summary

Delan Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, implement, and optimize SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.

You will craft T-SQL, write stored procedures, index tuning, and query optimization, and automate deployments with PowerShell in cloud-based architectures. Collaborate with .NET/C# backend teams, manage data modeling and security/compliance, and participate in Agile/Scrum deliveries.

Qualifications

• Senior database development experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Proficient in T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning.
• Experience with Azure-hosted databases and cloud architectures.
• Automation using PowerShell for deployments.
• Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version control.
• Strong data modeling and database design knowledge.
• Backend integration with .NET / C#.
• Familiarity with IaC using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
• Experience with security, auditing and compliance requirements.
• Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent role Advanced expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQL

Strong T SQL development skills (stored procedures, indexing, query optimization)

Experience with Azure hosted databases and cloud-based architectures

Hands on experience with PowerShell for database deployment and automation

Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version control

Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling

Experience supporting applications built on .NET / C# (backend integration)

Nice to Have Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform

Experience with database monitoring, performance diagnostics, and tuning in Azure

Familiarity with security, auditing, and compliance requirements

Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
