Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, optimize, and manage database solutions for a cloud-native application deployed on Microsoft Azure. The role requires deep expertise in Azure SQL / SQL Server, ownership of database design, and hands-on CI/CD driven deployments using PowerShell.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing Azure SQL databases, enabling performance, scalability, and data integrity while collaborating with developers to support

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Azure SQL / SQL Server and database design principles.
• Strong T-SQL development skills: stored procedures, indexing, query optimization.
• Hands-on with PowerShell for database deployment and automation.
• Experience with Azure hosted databases and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version control.
• Experience in .NET / C# backend integration and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases for enterprise apps.
• Develop and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes.
• Partner with application developers to support backend and full stack features.
• Implement and manage database deployments using PowerShell and release pipelines.
• Support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Perform schema versioning, migration, and release coordination across environments.
