MILVETS Systems Technology, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage on-prem and Azure environments in a hybrid setup with Tuesday on-site and other days remote. The role requires hands-on administration and DevOps collaboration.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of system administration experience, 5+ years in Azure, strong scripting skills, and a DoD Secret clearance. Competitive salary offered in a DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Math or related technical discipline.
7+ years in system administration in a large enterprise.
5+ years of Microsoft Azure cloud administration.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
Scripting experience in Perl, Python, or Shell.
Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and private/public/hybrid clouds.
Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate certification.

Responsibilities

Provide SME for Azure cloud services and virtualization.
Install, patch, upgrade operating systems and maintain IT environments.
Support infrastructure rollout in agile DevOps processes.
Analyze performance and opportunities in virtualization and storage.
Troubleshoot cloud issues across instance, software, network domains.
Collaborate with IT security to maintain secure cloud applications.
Work with third-party cloud vendors for security assessments.
Participate in root cause analyses for incidents.
Understand delivery pipelines and infrastructure automation integrations.
Automate delivery of on-prem infrastructure in VMware, Windows, Linux, and SAN/NAS.
