Job summary

Fisher Investments is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Platform team in Plano, TX. You will design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure secure, scalable operations supporting global growth.

You'll collaborate with solution architects and business owners, implement IaC with Terraform, manage Kubernetes workloads, and advance cloud security and governance. This role requires on-site presence with potential hybrid considerations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT infrastructure experience with Azure/AWS cloud services.
• 5+ years building IaaS and PaaS on Azure/AWS.
• 4+ years IaC using Terraform with reusable modules and CI/CD pipelines.
• 2 years Kubernetes and containerized workloads experience.
• Knowledge of AI platforms such as Microsoft Azure AI or similar cloud-based AI services.
• Hands-on cloud security and governance controls including policy, Defender for Cloud, landing zones, identity governance, secret management and compliance.
• Strong networking knowledge (DNS, routing, firewalls, private access).
• Scripting and automation of builds, workflows and integration aspects.
• Linux and Windows server administration.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling.
• Deploy enterprise-scale cloud resources across technology organizations using code.
• Act as bridge between business application owners and cloud team.
• Develop and maintain scalable AI infrastructure on Cloud Platform.
• Follow security audit requirements and controls in every action.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, tooling for automated deployments.
• Enhance deployment processes and IaC scripts for better automation.
• Participate in peer reviews, design collaboration, and on-call duties.
• Use configuration management and automation tools for cloud-based solutions.
• Align solutions with standards, security controls, and cloud best practices.
• Investigate current cloud usage, risks, gaps, and remediation plans.
• Provide international, 24/7 support with flexible on-call schedules.
