Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) II to lead the modernization of the healthcare data platform, migrating from MSSQL XML to an AWS-native data architecture and building an analytics-ready layer for business users.

You will evaluate AWS data services (S3, Athena, Redshift, OpenSearch), design scalable reporting, and partner with a C#/.Net team. This is a 100% U.S.-based remote role with strong emphasis on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Lead healthcare data platform modernization.
• Migrate XML object store to AWS data architecture.
• Evaluate AWS data strategy and storage options.
• Design reporting layer for SQL queries by non-technical users.
• Architect MSSQL XML migration to AWS target.
