Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus.
• Proven experience architecting and executing cloud data platform migrations in production enterprise or healthcare environments.
• Track record of evaluating and selecting AWS data services to meet business reporting and query requirements.
• Experience delivering reporting or analytics solutions for non-technical users.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling in AWS (CodePipeline/CodeBuild/CodeDeploy).
• Experience with XML-heavy data stores and SQL-based reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the next phase of the healthcare data platform modernization.
• Implement migration to scalable, cloud-native AWS data architecture for performant SQL-based reports.
• Evaluate AWS data strategy and storage options (S3+Athena, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch).
• Design and build reporting layer for relational queries against healthcare data.
• Architect migration of XML data from MSSQL into AWS with optimized formats and partitioning.
• Maintain AWS data catalog, schemas, and metadata for discoverability.
• Optimize query performance and cost across AWS services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and patterns.
• Coordinate with back-end C#/.Net engineers for data pipeline integration.
• Implement CI/CD for data infrastructure using AWS-native tools.
• Apply IaC practices using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Document architecture decisions and data flows clearly.
