Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments. Responsibilities include health checks, CloudWatch and Dynatrace monitoring, incident investigation, backup validation, and VPC/DNS/log management.

You will execute deployment runbooks, support TriZetto Facets installation, and maintain documentation while on-call duties and weekend support may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT infrastructure or cloud operations experience.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS operations experience.
• Experience with production AWS workloads, monitoring tools, incident response processes.
• Certifications: AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Dynatrace Associate/Professional, ITIL Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness assessments.
• Configure monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace, dashboards and alarms.
• Investigate alerts for outages, performance issues, and anomalies.
• Configure CloudWatch notifications for on-call incidents.
• Manage EBS snapshots and backups for EC2 and RDS, with reporting.
• Handle VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, S3 access policies and cross-account access.
• Troubleshoot outages, network issues, DNS zones, firewall changes, and access problems.
• Support deployments by executing runbooks and coordinating weekend communications.
• Support TriZetto Facets installation and related documentation.
