Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor and support AWS cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments. The role focuses on daily health checks, CloudWatch/Dynatrace monitoring, incident investigation, backups, VPC/DNS management, and runbook-driven deployments, with strong emphasis on on-call readiness and documentation.

You'll collaborate across teams to troubleshoot outages, manage EBS snapshots, IAM access, and logging in the LZ2 landing zone, while

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure/cloud operations or systems engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS operations experience preferred.
• Experience with production AWS workloads, monitoring tools, and runbooks.
• Strong communication, documentation, and on-call readiness.
• Preferred certifications: AWS SysOps, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Practitioner, ITIL.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness assessments.
• Configure and enhance monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace, dashboards and alarms.
• Investigate alerts for outages, performance issues, and anomalies.
• Configure alerts to notify on-call for critical events.
• Manage EBS snapshots, backups, and reporting for EC2/RDS.
• Manage VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, S3 access policies, and DNS/firewall changes.
• Troubleshoot outages, restarts, network issues, and access problems.
• Support deployments by executing runbooks and coordinating downtime.
• Document infrastructure and support TriZetto Facets installation activities.
