Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments. You will perform health checks, manage CloudWatch and Dynatrace monitoring, and assist with deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud operations and 3+ years AWS hands-on experience; preferred AWS certifications and on-call readiness. This position is remote-friendly for US work authorization holders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or production-support experience.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS operations in enterprise environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication with on-call readiness.
• Preferred AWS certifications and ITIL Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS health checks and validate EC2/RDS readiness.
• Configure CloudWatch and Dynatrace dashboards, alarms, and notifications.
• Investigate alerts for outages, performance issues, and anomalies.
• Manage EBS snapshots, backups, and reporting for EC2/RDS.
• Manage VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, and access policies across accounts.
• Troubleshoot outages, network issues, DNS zones, and firewall changes.
• Support deployments by executing runbooks and coordinating downtime.
• Maintain infrastructure docs and support TriZetto Facets installation.
• Assist with on-call coverage and incident response readiness.
