Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AWS Cloud Ops Engineer to monitor, operate, and support AWS cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments. You will perform health checks, configure CloudWatch/Dynatrace, and manage backups and logging in a remote-friendly role based in Eagan, MN.

You will engage in incident investigation, deployment runbooks, and healthcare platform support, with a focus on reliability and observability. 5+ years of AWS ops experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud operations.
• Hands-on AWS operations across EC2/EBS/RDS/S3.
• Experience with monitoring, incident triage and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AWS cloud infrastructure health checks and readiness checks.
• Configure, manage, and enhance monitoring with CloudWatch and Dynatrace.
• Investigate alerts from CloudWatch and Dynatrace for outages and performance issues.
• Configure monitoring alerts to notify on-call teams for critical events.
• Manage EBS snapshots, disk sizing requests, and backup validation for EC2/RDS.
• Manage VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, S3 bucket access, and cross-account sharing.
• Troubleshoot outages, restarts, network issues, DNS zones, and firewall changes.
• Support deployments by executing runbooks and coordinating weekend downtime.
• Maintain infrastructure docs and support TriZetto Facets installation activities.
