Job summary

Everforth ECS in Quantico, VA is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Mid) to design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native services supporting mission-critical applications and data systems.

You will work with DevOps and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant environments, using IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform, and AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong AWS core services experience: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
• 5+ years using Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, NAT).
• 5+ years Linux system administration; comfortable with Linux environments.
• Experience implementing cloud security: IAM, encryption, logging, compliance.
• Automation and scripting experience (Bash, Python).
• Experience supporting large, complex systems in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Architect scalable, fault-tolerant AWS environments aligned with best practices.
• Configure core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch.
• Support multi-environment deployments (Dev, Test, Prod) with security compliance.
• Monitor performance, availability, and cost using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, engineering, and data teams to ensure stability.
