Job summary

Integral Federal in Tysons Corner, VA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own AWS GovCloud platform and IaC. You will administer cloud services, build Terraform configurations, and implement automation with Ansible, Jenkins, and Python to support biometric systems.

The role requires 7+ years of systems engineering, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and a Secret clearance. You will collaborate with DevOps, network, and security teams to sustain operations, perform patching, and ensure DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Seven (7) years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• AWS GovCloud experience.
• Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
• Familiarity with biometric systems. Knowledge of system-of-systems engineering and integration directorate processes.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD.
• Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and sustain AWS GovCloud compute, storage, operating-system, monitoring, and supporting platform services.
• Develop, review, maintain, and control Terraform infrastructure-as-code used to provision and configure AWS resources.
• Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Develop and maintain configuration automation using Ansible, Jenkins, Git/GitLab, Python, Bash, JSON/YAML, or similar technologies.
• Monitor infrastructure health, availability, resource utilization, logs, storage, and system performance.
• Perform operating-system and platform patching and technical STIG remediation.
• Maintain system and infrastructure configuration baselines and support configuration/change management.
• Review infrastructure changes and code/configuration updates before implementation.
• Support cloud backup, recovery, disaster-recovery, and continuity activities.
• Support system integration, releases, regression testing, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Work with Cyber/ISSO personnel to implement and document vulnerability remediation.
• Cross-train with network and DevOps engineers to maintain operational coverage.
