Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Chief Cloud Engineer with extensive AWS expertise to optimize cloud costs at scale. You will partner with product teams to understand architectures and drive cost-efficient decisions across environments.

You will build dashboards, implement automated reports, and guide engineers on reservations, savings plans, and cost governance. Strong leadership and data-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on AWS experience at a large scale.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or team oversight role.
• Proven ability to develop cost-optimization dashboards and reports.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail; English at B2+.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to optimize cloud spending and ROI.
• Understand the client architecture and identify cost drivers across environments.
• Guide architects on resource optimization, capacity planning, and KPIs.
• Monitor spending patterns, investigate spikes, and address root causes.
• Oversee Reservations and Savings Plans usage and redistribution of freed capacity.
• Develop, update, and maintain dashboards and automated cost-tracking systems.
• Advise on policy development for cost governance and best practices.
