Sompo Holdings, Inc. seeks an AVP, Surety Claims to lead complex U.S. Surety matters, including performance bonds across Coal, Oil & Gas, and other bonds. You will guide technical decisions, mentor staff, and partner with underwriting and senior leadership to mitigate risk.

The role requires leadership of teams, strong legal review, and robust communication with cross-functional partners. Travel may be required; on-site in multiple U.S. offices.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of Surety claims experience with progression in leadership and technical responsibility.
• Proven ability to handle complex, high-exposure claims, including matters over $10M.
• Strong legal and contract review capabilities related to settlements and bonds.

• Evaluate and manage complex U.S. Surety claims, including coverage and damages.
• Develop strategies and lead resolution for performance bond and high-exposure matters.
• Partner with underwriting and leadership to mitigate risk and cut costs.
• Provide large-loss, reserve, trend, and collateral management reporting.
