Athene seeks an AVP, Corporate Development to lead complex reinsurance transactions and drive growth across a global platform. You will evaluate targets, structure deals, negotiate terms, and manage post-close activities with senior leadership and counterparties.

You will collaborate across actuarial, finance, and risk teams, ensuring rigorous transaction review while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Actuarial or financial designation preferred.
• Experience leading complex transaction processes in insurance or financial services.

Responsabilités

• Lead and/or support all phases of transaction processes from target identification to closing and post-close refresh.
• Manage third-party reinsurance clients and discuss trends, products, and rate strategies.
• Prepare internal deal documents for management and boards; present to diverse audiences.
• Oversee projects, collaborate with other units, and mentor junior staff.
• Analyze due diligence materials such as actuarial appraisals and policy forms.
• Document internal controls and support policy/procedure improvements for reviews.
• Summarize actuarial concepts and trends impacting deal valuation; maintain confidentiality.
