Job summary

Acrisure Re is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Actuarial, to price reinsurance contracts across varied products and provide ongoing client and broker support throughout the lifecycle. The AVP will develop expertise in niche areas and contribute to actuarial standards and tools, mentoring junior analysts and collaborating across stakeholders.

The role requires a solid actuarial foundation, strong Excel skills, and experience with modeling, data analysis, and communication of complex concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 4+ years actuarial experience, preferably in a reinsurance pricing capacity
• ACAS or near-ACAS designation, with active progression toward FCAS
• Actively maintains Continuing Education requirements
• Understanding of commercial, personal, cyber, and specialty (re)insurance products
• Understanding of pricing and reserving methodologies for property, casualty, specialty, and cyber
• Understanding of capital models and pricing/reserve risk
• Understanding of catastrophe models (RMS, AIR, KatRisk, etc.) and pricing implications
• Strong Excel skills; familiar with SQL, Python, VBA; AI/LLM tools a plus
• Willingness to travel domestically and abroad
• Mentorship and collaboration with junior team members

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing analyses for proportional, excess of loss, and structured reinsurance deals using actuarially sound assumptions.
• Develop dynamic stochastic models and perform reinsurance analyses to evaluate and compare pricing strategies.
• Communicate analysis results and complex technical concepts to clients, reinsurers, and brokers.
• Support brokers in creating reinsurance submissions, pricing, structuring, and placing reinsurance.
• Provide input to respond to technical queries from clients and partners; support team members.
• Follow best practices and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Support creation and maintenance of analytical tools and adhere to actuarial standards.
• Produce clear exhibits and visuals to lead discussions; communicate clearly to the audience.
