Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an Avionics Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on electrical hardware for Lunar Landers. You will own hardware and firmware architecture, guide development from concept to production, and drive risk analyses and design-for-test initiatives.

You will mentor staff, shape career development, and coordinate with product teams to achieve safe, reliable spaceflight outcomes while advancing Blue Origin’s Lunar Permanence goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary development projects and coaching others.
• Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Strong understanding of hardware engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead upgraded analog and digital avionic designs for lunar hardware.
• Own architecture of hardware and firmware designs across the product life cycle.
• Lead design reviews, risk analyses, and DFx activities to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Mentor team, drive long-term development plans, and communicate status to management.
