RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Computer Systems Engineer to design and integrate next-generation avionics computing products. You will work at the intersection of systems, hardware, software, and FPGA development, translating requirements into architecture and guiding verification and certification.

You will lead interface definition, integration, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure system performance and compliance throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in defining and managing system requirements.
• Experience in embedded computing architecture development.
• Experience with hardware/FPGA interfaces and verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop avionics computer system architecture from requirements.
• Define interfaces between hardware, software and FPGA components.
• Oversee integration and verification of embedded systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for compatibility and performance.
• Support certification processes for avionics computing products.
• Provide technical guidance across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze and resolve system-level challenges during design.
