Job summary

RTX is seeking aSenior Systems Engineer to join Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, onsite. You will work with military customers, coordinate with Program Management, Design Engineering, and Service Engineers, and install avionics on ground and airborne platforms.

The role requires Linux/RHEL familiarity, networking knowledge, and travel up to 50–75%. U.S. citizenship and an active security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with avionics, integration, and post-installation testing.
• Experience training customers and system users.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site maintenance and repair avionics as needed.
• Interface with customers and understand system broadly.
• Execute program milestones and manage critical path.
• Review execution plans with project management and Service Engineering.
• Install avionics on ground, airborne, and shipboard platforms.
• Travel as required.
