Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Systems Engineer to define, design, develop, integrate, and test features for OEM aircraft platforms. You will support flight test campaigns, certification activities, and cross-functional IPT development while learning all aspects of aircraft systems.

Onsite role with strong emphasis on safety in design. The ideal candidate has aerospace engineering interest, 2+ years experience, and knowledge of ARP4754/DO-178B/C.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience in avionics systems engineering development.
• Willingness to work onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities

• Engineering duties spanning the development life cycle from design to testing and delivery.
• Capture requirements from aircraft OEMs and allocate them to Collins domains.
• Create design approaches, prototypes, and test procedures to verify requirements.
• Support certification artifacts and ARP-4754 customer audits.
