Collins Aerospace – Avionics is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to lead safety engineering activities across complex ATM programs within the Whole Life Engineering organization. You will drive system safety planning, work with design teams, and deliver safety analyses and documentation for the full lifecycle.

The role requires strong knowledge of system safety, hazard assessment, and industry standards to advance safe, modern Air Traffic Management capabilities.

Formación

• Requires a STEM degree, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.
• Experience in software, hardware, and personnel safety.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead System Safety program activities, hazard analyses, and design analyses.
• Perform hazard tracking and safety risk management across programs.
• Collaborate with product teams to eliminate hazards or develop controls.
• Develop safety-related contract deliverables and internal documentation.
• Serve as a Safety SME to guide program and product leadership.
• Interpret requirements and standards applicable to safety and system design.
