Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics PCB Layout Engineer to design and layout high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to meet stringent requirements and use Altium Designer for detailed schematics and layouts.

The role requires 5–7 years in PCB layout within aerospace/defense, IPC-6012 Class 3 expertise, and U.S. work eligibility. A fast-paced environment and mentoring responsibilities are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of PCB layout and design experience in aerospace/defense.
• Strong understanding of digital, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed layout.
• Experience with IPC-6012 Class 3 and PCB best practices.
• Familiarity with stripline and microstrip design.
• Ability to create detailed schematics and layout.
• U.S. citizen or eligible for work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams.
• Use Altium Designer to create schematics and layouts.
• Ensure practices adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for PCB layout.
• Mentor junior engineers on PCB layout and Altium best practices.
