Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the Greater Seattle area is seeking an Avionics PCB Layout Engineer to design high‑reliability PCBs for aerospace applications. You will apply deep digital, analog, mixed-signal and RF layout expertise across cross‑functional teams and use Altium Designer to create detailed schematics and layouts.

Responsibilities include ensuring IPC Class 3 compliance, maintaining design documentation, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the Blue Moon and Lunar Permanence

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of PCB layout experience in aerospace/defense.
• Strong digital, analog and high-speed layout knowledge.
• Experience with Altium Designer, Allegro, Eagle PCB or Proteus.
• Familiarity with IPC-6012 Class 3 standards.
• High-speed stack-up, BGA routing and impedance control.
• DFM/DFT and design-for-manufacturing practices.
• Mentor junior layout resources and review work.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of high-performance PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to meet requirements.
• Create schematics and layouts using Altium/Allegro and other tools.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards and industry regulations.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and review layouters' work.
