Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks an Electrical Engineer for its Melbourne, FL facility to design and maintain hardware for avionics systems. You will review obsolete parts, analyze analog and RF circuits, and guide PCB layout while troubleshooting hardware issues.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Must be a U.S. Person for ITAR/EAR access.
• 2+ years designing/analyzing analog and RF circuits using schematic capture tools and performance simulation tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain awareness of obsolete parts on assigned products and provide resolutions.
• Design and analyze analog and RF circuits using schematic capture tools and performance simulations.
• Characterize analog and RF signals with oscilloscopes, network/spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Design and analyze digital circuits including processors, memory, interfaces and their performance characteristics.
• Provide supervision and technical guidance for PCB layout.
• Troubleshoot Hands-on using engineering lab equipment.
• Perform validation and verification to meet design specs.
• Contribute to engineering estimates for moderate scope electrical design problems.
• Review defect trends and propose process improvements.
