Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air in Seattle, WA is seeking a Sr. Electrical Hardware Engineer to own the hardware development lifecycle for flight-critical avionics systems, collaborating with propulsion, structures, firmware, software, safety, certification, and production teams.

You will develop verification plans, bring up hardware, lead root-cause analysis, and drive manufacturability and reliability initiatives across avionics hardware in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• 5 years of hardware engineering experience
• Master's preferred in electrical/computer engineering

Responsibilities

• Own hardware development lifecycle of avionics hardware.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans, including DO-160/DO-254 compliance.
• Bring up EE hardware, validate interfaces with flight computer and sensor subsystems.
• Lead root cause analysis of hardware failures and implement fixes in production hardware.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) with vendors.
• Lead manufacturing, in-service, and reliability initiatives for avionics hardware.
