Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior systems engineer in the United States to apply DoD acquisition guidance and lead system-level design and integration efforts. The role emphasizes airworthiness, MIL-HBK-516 compliance, and collaboration across multiple organizations.

The position requires extensive DoD avionics experience and leadership capabilities to drive requirements, design reviews, and risk assessments for ACAT I programs. On-site work in Beavercreek, OH is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum TEN (10) years of DoD experience, including FIVE (5) years in avionics and TWO (2) years in a special access DoD acquisition program as a sub-system lead engineer on an ACAT I program.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoDD5000-series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC engineering policies to acquisition activities.
• Design, develop, integrate and test Computer Systems & Software to ensure performance, safety and airworthiness.
• Assess hardware, software and systems qualification to meet airworthiness criteria per MIL-HBK-516.
• Support development and analysis of system requirements and translate into design criteria.
