Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior systems engineer with DoD avionics experience to apply engineering policies and perform system design, integration, and testing for airworthiness. The role requires DoD background, leadership, and collaboration across DoD and industry partners.

With TS/SCI eligibility, you will develop requirements, perform risk assessments and support program reviews, contributing to system performance and sustainment across weapon platforms.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant DoD experience, including 5+ years avionics and 2+ years in a special access DoD acquisition program as a subsystem lead engineer.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoDD 5000-series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC engineering policies to acquisition engineering activities.
• Design, develop, integrate and test computer systems and software for airworthiness and performance.
• Conduct system requirements development, trade studies, risk assessments and integration analyses.
• Review proposals and designs; provide recommendations to optimize cost, schedule and performance.
• Support system engineering reviews, TIMs, and program reviews with technical input and reporting.
• Coordinate with acquisition bodies, DoD labs and industry; support technology assessments.
