Job summary

Canvas, Inc. seeks an Avionics Engineer Senior to lead development and integration of complex military electrical and electronic systems. You will translate requirements into hardware and software specs and guide verification across all development phases, with emphasis on Airworthiness certification and T&E.

The role requires a Master’s or Doctorate in a related field (ABET-accredited program preferred) and 10+ years of experience, including five in DoD/USG ISR/SOF. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in a related field with 10+ years of experience; five in DoD/USG ISR/SOF.
• Or a Bachelor's in a related field with 12 years of experience; five in DoD/USG ISR/SOF.
• Undergraduate degree from ABET-accredited engineering program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly technical guidance across hardware development and analysis.
• Oversee design, development, and integration of complex avionics systems.
• Support hardware evaluations and contribute to T&E and Airworthiness processes.
• Translate requirements into hardware/software specs and guide verification.
• Collaborate with design and test teams through all development phases.
