Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Journeyman Avionics Engineer (Computer Systems and Software Airworthiness) in Beavercreek, OH. The role focuses on designing, developing and testing avionics computer systems to meet airworthiness and safety standards.

You will work across requirements, integration, and verification activities in a DoD ACAT I environment. Ideal candidates hold a TS/SCI eligibility, ABET‑accredited engineering degree, and 10+ years of DoD aviation experience, including 5 years in avionics

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Ten+ years of DoD experience including five years avionics and two years in a recognized ACAT I program.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills in a multi‑level environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply DoD 5000-series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC policies to acquisition engineering activities.
• Design, develop, integrate and test Computer Systems & Software for airworthiness.
• Conduct system requirements translation and trade studies across weapon platforms.
• Support engineering reviews, TIMs, and program reviews with technical input.
