Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks an experienced Avionics Engineer to support a Wright-Patterson AFB based program in Dayton, OH. Senior-level responsibilities include system analyses, trade studies, and supporting critical reviews. A Secret clearance is required; 5–9 years of related experience is expected depending on degree.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field for Avionics Engineer 3; 3 years with Masters or 9 years with HS diploma for Avionics Engineer 3/4.
• Avionics Engineer 4 requires 7 years with Masters or 13 years with HS diploma.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, fabrication, testing and evaluation of avionics systems.
• Support SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and other reviews; assist with project meetings and documentation.
• Analyze equipment and software deficiencies and propose fixes; develop integration and testing plans.
• Perform systems analyses including design feasibility, risk, cost, and schedule assessments.
• Assist in installation path for new hardware/software in avionics subsystems; ensure airworthiness compliance.
